July brought greater visibility, integration flexibility, and control across the Akurateco platform. Key updates included real-time merchant balance statistics, grouped cascade attempts, external reporting integration, Apple Pay support within iframe-based Checkout, clearer partial refund error responses, merchant keys in callbacks, Bulgarian Checkout localization, debit support for Hosted Payment Fields, and configurable trial periods for recurring schedules.
Next up: even smarter reporting, more flexible payment flows, and stronger tools for scalable merchant growth. ๐
Product Updates Digest
Weโve added 10 new and updated 1 connector.
โบ Real-Time Merchant Balance Dashboard
The Analytics section now provides merchants with real-time financial statistics, including the total pay-in amount, payout amount, and commissions calculated for the merchant at the billing level.
This gives merchants a clearer view of their actual balance and financial activity directly within the platform.
Business impact:
Better balance visibility, faster financial monitoring, reduced reliance on manual calculations, and improved reconciliation.
โบ Cascaded Transactions Grouped Under the Initial Transaction
The main Transactions module and transaction export have been updated to group all cascade attempts under the initial merchant transaction.
Instead of displaying every attempt as a separate record, the system now shows one payment request with its final status. Additional cascade attempts, whether two, three, five, or more, remain grouped under the corresponding payment and order.
Business impact:
Cleaner transaction lists, easier payment analysis, fewer duplicate records, and more convenient cascade tracking.
โบ External Reporting System Integration
An external reporting system can now be embedded into the main Reporting tab through an iframe.
This allows clients to access data that is not stored directly in the Akurateco platform, such as merchant balances held in bank accounts, without switching between multiple systems.
Business impact:
Centralized reporting, faster access to external financial data, fewer operational steps, and a more convenient user experience.
โบ Apple Pay Support for Checkout Embedded in an Iframe
Following Apple Payโs introduction of support for its payment and tokenization flow within an iframe, Akurateco Checkout has been updated accordingly.
Merchants can now use Apple Pay through Checkout embedded in an iframe without interrupting or crashing the payment flow.
Business impact:
More flexible Checkout integrations, smoother Apple Pay processing, improved payer experience, and broader support for embedded payment scenarios.
โบ Clearer Partial Refund Error Responses
API error responses for partial refunds have been improved.
If the requested refund amount exceeds the remaining refundable amount of the original transaction, the merchant now receives a clearer response explaining the inconsistency.
Business impact:
Faster issue identification, fewer incorrect refund requests, easier troubleshooting, and more reliable refund processing.
โบ Merchant Key Added to Callbacks
Callbacks have been extended with an additional merchant key parameter.
The new parameter helps merchants map incoming payment notifications to the relevant merchant account or configuration and process callback data more accurately.
Business impact:
Improved payment data mapping, easier callback processing, fewer integration errors, and better support for multi-merchant environments.
โบ Bulgarian Checkout Localization
Bulgarian has been added to the list of supported Checkout languages.
Bulgarian-speaking payers can now view the Checkout interface and payment instructions in their local language.
Business impact:
Better localized payment experiences, clearer payment instructions, improved payer confidence, and stronger support for the Bulgarian market.
โบ Debit Operations Through Hosted Payment Fields
The Hosted Payment Fields protocol has been extended to support debit operations.
In addition to standard purchase transactions, merchants can now initiate debit transactions through Hosted Payment Fields while keeping sensitive payment data securely handled by the platform.
Business impact:
Broader payment processing capabilities, more flexible Checkout implementation, secure debit transaction support, and improved integration options.
โบ Flexible Trial Periods for Recurring Schedules
Recurring schedules now support configurable trial periods through both the Admin Panel and API.
Merchants can define the duration and pricing conditions of the trial period separately from the regular subscription schedule.
For example, a merchant can offer three free trial days before starting monthly billing or charge USD 1 for the first month and USD 20 for each subsequent billing period.
The platform records the configured interval, calculates the correct next charge date, and processes future recurring payments according to the selected schedule.
Business impact:
More flexible subscription models, easier setup of introductory offers, accurate recurring charge calculations, and better support for trial-based billing scenarios.
